I bring with me on every travel my Pacsafe backpack and wallet, Tilley underwears and socks and noise-cancelling earphones: less worry from pickpockets; carefree clothing, less tired after long trips.

Just got home and I always travel with my Ameribag, but had just purchased the larger one from you and it was great, because it held my noise cancelling headphones, and my jet lag and my older Exifico cuddley shall/blanket. These are things I must have on the plane with me along with my iPad!!

My secrets to carry-on-only travel, no matter how long the trip: 1) Scrubba wash bag and laundry soap sheets – 25 washes in the space of a tic-tac box – wash the day’s top, undies and socks every night, hang to dry overnight; 2) compression cubes (I like the Eagle Creek Specter – they are lighter than a Ziploc bag!) Do NOT get the cheapo cubes, they really do not work well, these are worth splurging on the best; 3) dry shampoo and body soap sheets – also the size of a tic tac box, and they do not use up your precious minute liquid allowance. Most hotels provide soap and shampoo, but it is always good to have backups with you.

My three “must have” travel accessories are:
1. My green faux snake skin roller carry on bag for snack for the kids and to keep us somewhat organized with the passports and a spare set of clothes in case my checked bag gets lost.
2. My accordion travel file folder for all of our booking documents. I know we live in a world where we get our info digitally but there’s something comforting about knowing I have hard copies of everything as a backup.
3. Our set of reusable filter water bottles. They’re super handy to fill once you’ve cleared security and all four of us have one so we all stay hydrated on our flights.
Thanks!

Every time I travel, I absolutely always bring with me: compression socks, eagle creek packing organizers and power bank. These are essentials!

Before writing this I went to my “travel drawer” it’s the place I store everything we need when we travel. I wanted to see exactly what we absolutely take with us every time we go on a trip.

So the one thing I take out is my day backpack. It has a sternum strap and a hip belt. It’s not huge but it allows me to store some of the essentials for a day outing like phone, camera, power bank, water bottle, snacks, jacket, sunglasses, umbrella, small toiletries bag and wallet just to name a few.

The next thing is our travel wallet. It has different pockets to store all our documents, credit card and a zip pocket for cash. It’s lightweight and colorful so it’s easy to find in the backpack.

I struggled a little bit with my third option but decided that we use travel cubes on all of our trips. We have many of them some expensive and some I bought at the Dollar store. We use one of the other depending on our trips.

We bring with us so many other items depending on our adventure. Sometimes we need waterproof bag/case for our electronics, noise cancelling headphones and neck pillows for long flights.

Each trip is special, each trip is different.
